Storytelling - For whom and by whom

Imagine this-a world where every conversation, every interaction, every moment is a story waiting to be told. That's the power of storytelling, and it all begins with - You guessed it - A STORY!

But what is a story? Who tells a story? Why does he or she tell a story? To whom is the story being told?

Stories are not just a part of our lives, they are our lives. They are in the tales our grandparents share, the anecdotes we tell our friends, and the narratives we create for ourselves. They are everywhere, every day, every moment, shaping our experiences and our understanding of the world.

Last week, a squirrel entered my house from nowhere. It found its way in but could not find its way out. We opened all possible doors and windows for it to go out, but it could not figure out how to leave.

It ran from room to room, hiding behind doors, fridge, under the bed, etc.

We tried to locate it for three days, but it was too fast. We did not want to scare it, so we used soft, friendly voices, but she was not amused. She kept roaming around the house as if she had found a new home.

We did not want it to starve and so we kept water and nuts for her. She did not touch it for many hours, and we were scared that it would starve. So, we made noises for her to come out of hiding and discover the water and nuts meant for her. She did not.

On the fourth day, we did not see it anywhere. The water and the nuts were untouched.

We made heavy noises as we feared that she was dead, and we really wanted her to come out of hiding and either eat the nuts or leave for her natural habitat.

Nothing happened. She just disappeared. God willing, she had found a way out..we hope so.

This was a real story.

Every day, we run around like that squirrel looking for satisfaction,new avenues and opportunities.

At times, we like what we find. At times, we don't. Our natural instincts encourage us, hold us, or prevent us, as the case may be, and we keep going. We grab or miss opportunities, which we may or may not regret...only time tells us. Changes will come, stay or revert back.

We just need to keep going.
